This is a 1973 campaign button for the United Homeowners Party. The button has the phrase "United" printed in blue at the top on a white background; a silhouette of a red house, with the phrase "4" You printed in white on the house below; and a decorative dark blue shape at the bottom upon which the date is printed in white. The party was led by Dr. Thomas Powell. Initially declared the winner, Powell would relinquish the mayor's office after just four months when the original results were overturned. |
