Description |
This is a Curteich "C.T. Art-Colortone" postcard written to Mr. and Mrs. Charles Wise, Oak Lawn from their son, Bob Wise. At the time Bob was serving in the armed forces during World War II. The front of the card has a color image of a post chapel at Chanute Field,Rantoul, Illinois. The photo that the image was based on was taken by the U.S. Army Air Corp and is titled "One of the Post Chapels, Chanute Field, Rantoul, Illinois". The Curteich identification 1B-H2298 is printed in the lower right corner. The back of the card has preprinted text, a handwritten message, and a Rantoul, Illinois postmark dated November 18, 1943. |
