Description |
This is a commemorative plate from Oak Lawn Public Library. The front of the plate has a black & white image of the first library building, known affectionately as "Little Red Library". That building, opened in 1936, was located just north of 95th Street between Raymond Avenue and Cook Avenue. A small plaque identifying the library is affixed to the lower rim. The back of the plate has a label from the manufacturer, Heirloom Photo Arts Company, Grand Rapids, Michigan which explains the creation process and care needed for the plate. |
