Description |
This is a 1977 campaign button from the Homeowners Party of Oak Lawn. The button has a red background with a white house upon which is printed in blue "Make It Happen". The party name and town name are printed along the upper and lower edges. Thomas Powell, candidate for Mayor, and Bob Krolak, candidate for Village Clerk, were among those on the ticket. Powell was mayor for a short time in 1973 after defeating Fred M. Dumke. The results were later reversed by a court decision and recount. |
