This is a slide featuring an aerial view of the intersection of Central Avenue and 103rd Street. Central Avenue runs from the lower left corner of the picture (north) to the upper right of the picture (south). The black roofs of Oak Lawn Park District Racquet Club can be seen in the very upper right corner of the picture. The trees lining Stony Creek are visible just to the left, across Central Avenue, from the Racquet Club. The entire northwest corner of Central Avenue and 103rd Street was undeveloped at the time this picture was taken. That corner now houses a strip mall including a bank. |
