Description |
This is a photograph of damages after the 1967 Oak Lawn tornado. The black & white image shows the Red Barn Restaurant, 5840 W. 95th Street. The restaurant sustained heavy damage to the roof and windows during the storm. A damaged Dodge automobile with a US Army license plate is parked in front of the restaurant. Red Barn Drive-In was repaired shortly after and reopened to the public. Eventually the restaurant closed and a real estate office took its place. The building was demolished about 2015. |
