Description |
This is a photograph featuring businesses on the north side of 95th Street east of 53rd Court. They include (l-r) Andersen Engineering at 5318 West 95th Street, the Beverly Golf Shop at 5310 West 95th Street; Tel-A-Sav at 5308 West 95th Street, Behrend's Hardware store at 5300 West 95th Street, and Dewey's Lounge at 5248 West 95th Street. Phil Krauss' Yankee Lounge 5256 West 95th Street (formerly the Hilgendorf home at 5240 West 95th Street), the Sinclair sign at Safeway Motor Sales and Service located at 5252 W. 95th Street, and the building housing Nick's Tap Room (formerly Schultz's Tavern and Jim's Tap Room) at 5220 W. 95th Street are also visible. The Oak Lawn water tower is above the buildings. It was located behind the Village Hall at 9437 South Cook Avenue. Traffic can be seen moving on 95th Street and cars are parked along the street in front of various businesses. |
