Description |
This is a photograph of damages after the 1967 Oak Lawn tornado. The black & white image shows soldiers from the Illinois National Guard removing an uprooted tree that landed on the home at 9300 S. 52nd Avenue. The men are using a front end loader with a US Army insiginia to aid in the work. The chimneys on either side of the dormer have been knocked over onto the roof of the house. In the background, people can be seen working on the roof of another home. |
