This is a slide of damage caused by the 1967 Oak Lawn tornado. The color image shows an impassable street with debris, a car, and tree limbs blocking the way. The three houses in the background show varying amount of damage. Ray Murphy, the photographer, stated that he had parked near 4900 W. Columbus Drive and had walked around the neighborhood as far west as St. Gerald Church between Cicero Avenue on the east and Southwest Highway on the north. |
