This is a photograph of the construction of the Metra commuter parking lot at 95th Street and 51st Avenue. Several workers can be seen on and near a backhoe that is digging a trench on the site. Another loader is on the right. In the background on the left, the Harris Bank Commercial district and Cook School are partially visible. A sign for the A & B Oak Lawn Currency Exchange, located at 5112 West 95th Street, is just to the left of the backhoe. Millie's Ice Cream and Coffee Shoppe, located at 5108 West 95th Street in the same building as the currency exchange, can be seen in the background on the right. |
