This item is a slide featuring a view of Cook School formerly located at 9526 South Cook Avenue. Opened in 1906, the photo shows the front facade. At the time of this photo, the building housed the Oak Lawn Family Service Center, CAP office, the Fifth District Court, the Oak Lawn Liason Officer, PLOWS office, and the Oak Lawn Chamber of Commerce. Several people can be seen standing outside of the building. The school was torn down in 2003 as part of Oak Lawn's redevelopment, and the location currently houses a condo building. |
