Description |
This is a slide of damages after the 1967 Oak Lawn tornado. The color image was taken at the intersection of Southwest Highway and 52nd Avenue looking northwest. A US Army truck is turning south on 52nd Avenue and automobiles can be seen in the eastbound lanes of Southwest Highway. Debris and the traffic signals can be seen strewn on the ground. The house on the corner, behind the Army truck, is 5204 Southwest Highway and has sustained roof loss. The homes to its left are on Cass Street, directly north of Southwest Highway. |
