Description |
This is a photograph of damages after the 1967 Oak Lawn tornado. The color image, taken near the intersection of 94th Street and 55th Avenue, faces west towards St. Gerald's School. The big white house at 9360 S. 55th Avenue, belonging to Louis Priller and his wife Ida, has been demolished leaving a debris field behind. In the background, most of the southern end of St. Gerald's School has been demolished as well. Cars and people can be seen on the streets. |
