Description |
This item is a photograph of the 1983 Oak Lawn Fest Parade. It features an old fashioned vehicle moving down 95th Street carrying Billy Bob Brockali, or, Billy Bob for short, the mascot of ShowBiz Pizza Place. ShowBiz Pizza became Chuck E. Cheese in 1992. It was located at 4031 West 95th Street until it permanently closed in December of 2017. The car is moving westbound on 95th Street just past Cook Avenue. The Oak Lawn Public Library is partially visible in the left of the photograph. Spectators are lined up along the north side of 95th Street to watch the parade while others are moving along the street near the intersection where Port-o-potties and food vendors are lined up along Cook Avenue north of 95th Street. A blue and white striped tent is partially visible set up in the Village parking lot east of the library. |
