Description |
This is an aerial photograph of Oak Lawn Community High School taken from the north and looking south. Austin Avenue is seen on the right running from the top (south) to the bottom (north) of the photo. Southwest Highway can be seen running diagonally through the picture from the left (north) to the right (southwest). 95th Street is visible at the top of the photo running from left (east) to right (west). The empty land to the south of the baseball field is the site of the former Suburban Transit Company/PACE bus depot. To the left are the Knights of Columbus Hall at 5830 W. 95th Street, Coldwell Banker Real Estate at 5840 W. 95th Street, and Amoco at 5870 W. 95th Street. Businesses along the south side of 95th Street include Carpet Interiors at 5849 W. 95th Street, the Safeman at 5851 W. 95th Street, the Oak Lawn Restaurant at 5769 W 95th, and the Splash Car Wash/Quick Lube at 5807 W. 95th Street. Olson Rug & Flooring located at 5902 W. 95th Street and Red Lobster, located at 9500 Southwest Highway on the southeast and southwest corners of 95th Street and Southwest Highway, respectively, are also visible. The Lynwood subdivision is seen at the bottom of the photo, north of the high school. |
