The Brandt Building, on the left (south) side of 95th Street, is the prominent structure in the photograph. It was located at 5131 West 95th Street and housed multiple businesses including Brandt's Tavern. The building was demolished in 1996 to make way for the Harris Bank Commercial District. Spectators can be seen lining both sides of 95th Street to watch the parade. This event celebrated the 100th Anniversary of when Oak Lawn was first subdivided. |
