Description |
This is a photograph of damages after the 1967 Oak Lawn tornado. The color image, taken at Southwest Highway and Knox Avenue looking northwest, shows the devastation at the site of Airway Trailer Park. Two black metal chassis from the undercarriage of mobile homes can be seen on the muddy ground. A damaged building is seen on the left while mobile homes at the north end of the park are in the background. The white home in the background on the right side of the photo is in the 9000 block of Knox Avenue in Hometown. |
