Description |
This is a photograph of the construction site of the 51st Avenue Station development, a mixed commercial and residential building, located at 9440 South 51st Avenue. This development was built on the former site of Fernwood Smith Cleaners at 5114 West 95th Street, the A & B Oak Lawn Currency Exchange located at 5112 W. 95th Street, and Millie's Ice Cream and Coffee Shoppe which was located in back of the currency exchange at 5108 West 95th Street. This photograph looks from north to south across the construction site. The foundation is in and cement block is going up. The white building in the background was a temporary construction and sales office that sat on the south side of the site along 95th Street between 51st Avenue and Tulley Avenue. The ornamental street lights that line 95th Street can be seen over the building. |
