The 1982 Oak Lawn Centennial celebrated the 100th anniversary of when Oak Lawn was first subdivided. This is a photograph of the Centennial Celebration featuring a pony ride which has been set up outside of the Oak Lawn Pet Center located at 5301 West 95th Street, on the southwest corner of 95th Street and 53rd Avenue. People have gathered to watch their children ride the ponies. A large bus is laso seen parked along the west side of the street near the ride. Some residential homes are partially visible in the background. |
