This is a photograph featuring a view from the top deck of the original parking garage at Christ Community Hospital (Advocate Christ Medical Center). The parking structure was located on the west side of Kostner Avenue. This view is looking to the southeast. Businesses along the north side of 95th Street between Pulaski and Kostner include Standard Federal Savings on the northeast corner of 95th Street and Pulaski; Jack Thompson Oldsmobile, 4040 West 95th Street; K-Mart, 4104 West 95th Street; Holiday Inn, 4140 West 95th Street; Kelly King Nissan, 4300 West 95th Street; Oak Lawn Toyota, 4320 West 95th Street; and the Rotunda Medical Building at 4340 West 95th Street. Venture, located at 4101 West 95th Street, with its black and white striped facade is seen on the south side of 95th Street. Apartment buildings, condominium buildings, and homes can also be seen in the background. This original parking structure was eventually torn down and replaced with a larger structure on the east side of Kostner Avenue. |
