Description |
This is a photograph of the Oak Lawn Fest Parade in 1983. It features a flatbed trailer from the Ready Paving and Construction Company out of Chicago Ridge carrying a display from the Boy Scouts Timber Trails District as it moves westbound on 95th Street. In this photograph, the flatbed is passing through the intersection at Cook Avenue. Spectators can be seen lining the north side of 95th Street along the south facade of the Oak Lawn Public Library. Sculptures, created by the artist Abbott Pattison that hang on the south facade of the library, are visible. The traffic signals over 95th Street at Cook Avenue are overheard in the right of the photograph. |
