Description |
This is a photograph of damages after the 1967 Oak Lawn tornado. The black & white image shows the Arvid and Lucille Anderson home at 9400 S. Major Avenue. Richard Stell, on the left, and Ken Folliard, on the right, backs to the camera, stand on the sidewalk looking at the destroyed home and overturned car. The Andersons were home at the time the storm struck. After emerging from the basement after the storm, Mr. Anderson found his new car overturned and on top of the kitchen portion of the home. |
