Description |
This is a photograph, developed as a slide, of the damages after the 1967 Oak Lawn tornado. The color image looks west toward Menard Avenue from the 9400 block of Massasoit, showing the massive damage in that neighborhood. The edge of a car door and window fill the left edge of the photo. The brown home next to the car door is the Frank Tourangeau home at 9417 S. Menard. A pile of bricks and lumber, smashed by the wind, fill the center of the photo and the remains of another home is on the right side. |
