Description |
This is a photograph of damages after the 1967 Oak Lawn tornado. The black & white image shows the Arvid and Lucille Anderson home at 9400 S. Major Avenue which was destroyed in the storm. Their new car, seen in the center of the photo, was overturned onto the home's kitchen. The Andersons were home when the tornado struck and sheltered in the basement. Two boys, Richard Stell on the left and Ken Folliard on the right, are looking at the home and car. |
