This is a photograph of the Browsatorium located at 9505 South Cook Avenue. It carried numerous items including antiques. The building was torn down in 2004 during a Village redevelopment project. The building to the left (south) of the Browsatorium was located at 5239 W. 95th Street on the southeast corner of Cook Avenue and 95th Street. It housed various businesses and offices over the years including a real estate company and the offices of Illinois Congressman Daniel Lipinski, but has since also been torn down. The sign for the S&S Men's Wear store, located at 5213 W. 95th Street, can be seen above and behind the building. |
