Description |
This is an aerial photograph of 95th Street looking west from 51st Avenue. 51st Avenue is visible running left (south) to right (north) along the bottom of the photo. 95th Street is visible running from the top (west) to the bottom (east) in the left of the photo. Railroad tracks run diagonally through the photo from northeast (bottom) to southwest (top) of the photo. The Oak Lawn Metra train station and commuter parking lot are visible just west of 51st Avenue. Permacor, Inc., located at 9540 S. Tulley Avenue, and I.N.R. Beatty Lumber, located at 9537 S. 52nd Avenue, are visible. Additional lumber yard storage sheds are seen to the west of 52nd Avenue. The lumber yard has since been demolished. The Johnson-Phleps VFW Post #5220 is seen on the corner of 52nd Avenue and Wabash Avenue (now known as Yourell Drive). Several businesses along the south side of 95th Street are visible including Mal's Men's Shop at 5201 W. 95th Street, a bank located at 5151 W. 95th Street and the Zimmerman and Sandeman Funeral Home located at 5200 W. 95th Street on the north side of 95th Street on the northwest corner of the intersection. |
