Description |
This is a photograph of 95th Street looking east from about Brandt Avenue. Businesses on the left (north) side of 95th Street include the Illinois Bell Telephone Company building located at 4918 West 95th Street, the Oak Lawn Trust and Savings Bank located at 4900 West 95th Street and the Oak Lawn Post Office located at 4870 West 95th Street. Signs for the Jewel Food Store at 4856 West 95th Street and Frank's Department Store at 4830 West 95th Street are also visible. Located on the northwest corner of 95th Street and Cicero Avenue, the diamond-shaped sign of the Goodyear Service Store at 4810 West 95th Street is in view. Beyond, the west facade of the Coral Theater is just visible. Signs for many businesses between Cicero Avenue and Brandt Avenue are along the right (south) side of 95th Street. The Western Tire & Auto sign and Bill's Barber Shop, both located at 4919 West 95th Street, are in the foreground of the photograph, along with what is believed to be the loan sign outside of the Beneficial Loans storefront located at 4847 West 95th Street at the very right. Traffic is on 95th Street and cars can be seen diagonally parked in front of businesses along the street. |
