Description |
This is a photograph of the Oak Lawn Fest Parade in 1983. It features a man dressed in prison stripes on an antique bicycle being chased westbound on 95th Street near 50th Court by a woman dressed as an old fashioned police officer and also on an antique bicycle. In the foreground on the left, an actual police officer watches 'the chase'. Fox's Pub pizza delivery trucks are moving with the parade in the right of the photograph and a troop of Boy Scouts and floats are behind them. Spectators line the south side of 95th Street. Businesses along 95th Street include Radio Shack at 4815 West 95th Street; Palermo's Pizza at 4849 West 95th Street; Marquette Sports Equipment at 4861 West 95th Street; and Crown Furniture at 4903 West 95th Street and Oak Lawn Liquors & Lounge at 4913 West 95th Street. The Oak Lawn Camera Shop at 4949 West 95th Street; Laura & Co Hair Design at 4951 West 95th Street; and Tuzik's Bakery at 4955 West 95th Street are visible in the right of the photograph above the Fox's Pub delivery trucks. People can be seen watching the parade from the rooftops of the buildings. |
