Description |
This is a photograph of the Oak Lawn Centennial Parade in 1982. It features a car pulling a float sponsored by the Oak Lawn Athletic Club moving westbound on 95th Street near the railroad crossing at about 51st Avenue. The dates 1909 (Oak Lawn's founding) and 1982 appear on the side of the float. Spectators can be seen lining the south side of 95th Street to watch the parade. The event celebrated the 100th Anniversary of when Oak Lawn was first subdivided. |
