This is a photograph of the Oak Lawn Round Up Days parade in 1953. In this photograph, a 1953 Studebaker is rolling westbound on 95th Street just past 52nd Avenue. The car was given away by the Oak Lawn Chamber of Commerce during the event. Businesses in the background along the north side of 95th Street include McKay's, a Ladies Wear and Jewelry, store located at 5216 West 95th Street and a barber shop owned by Reuben Larson at 5214 West 95th Street. Spectators are packed along the street to watch the parade. |
