Description |
This is a photograph of damages after the 1967 Oak Lawn tornado. The color image, taken near the intersection of 94th Street and Parkside Avenue, looks northeast toward the devastated neighborhood. A Salvation Army Emergency Canteen truck is parked near the intersection and several people can be seen gathered around it. Two women are walking south away from the truck along Parkside Avenue. Debris, damaged homes, heavy equipment, and dump trucks are in the area. |
