Description |
This is a photograph of the north side of 95th Street near Tulley Avenue. The photograph was taken from the south side of 95th Street looking toward the northeast. Krauss' Gaslite Lounge, located at 5130 W. 95th Street, is seen on the right. The white building with the red awning is a temporary sales office for the 51st Avenue Station development. This development was built on the former site of Fernwood Smith Cleaners at 5114 West 95th Street, the A & B Oak Lawn Currency Exchange located at 5112 W. 95th Street, Millie's Ice Cream and Coffee Shoppe located in back of the currency exchange at 5108 West 95th Street. The steel beams of the building are seen behind the temporary building. The steeple of Pilgrim Faith Church, located at 9411 S. 51st Avenue, is visible over the buildings. Traffic can be seen moving westbound on 95th Street. In the background the Hilton Inn of Oak Lawn, located at 94th Street and Cicero Avenue (9333 South Cicero Avenue), is visible. |
