This is a photograph of the Oak Lawn Pet Parade in 1978. The parade was sponsored by the Oak Lawn Chamber of Commerce. It began at 95th Street and Mansfield Avenue and traveled east to 52nd Avenue. This photograph features a view of a cowgirl and her dog who is dressed as a cowboy, complete with hat. The pair are accompanied by an adult male. The group has just made the turn off eastbound 95th Street to southbound 52nd Avenue. Spectators can be seen on the southeast corner of the intersection watching the parade. |
