This is a photograph of the construction of the Metra commuter parking lot at 95th Street and 51st Avenue. This is a view looking northeast from 51st Avenue. Several workers and two pieces of construction equipment are at the site. Pilgrim Faith United Church of Christ and its parsonage are partially visible in the background on the left. Other residential homes are seen in the background in the middle of the photograph and an apartment building on the south side of Columbus Drive is partially visible. Columbus Drive is also blocked off east of the construction site. During this redevelopment, Columbus Drive was redesigned to terminated at Sproat Avenue in order to accommodate the new parking lot. |
