Description |
This is a photograph of damages after the 1967 tornado. The black & white image, taken near the Anderson home at 9400 S. Major Avenue, shows two people standing in the basement. Debris is strewn across the basement and the yards. In the background, the rear of heavily damaged homes along the east side of the 9400 block of Massasoit Avenue are visible. The Andersons were at home at the time the storm struck and survived, having taken cover in the basement. |
