This is a photograph, circa 1955, of firefighters from the Oak Lawn Fire Department standing in front of fire engines at the station, 9437 S. Cook Avenue (south of James Street, now known as Dumke Drive). All the men appear to be wearing old-fashioned handlebar mustaches. This building has since been demolished. Front row from left to right: Phillip Baird; William Dorgan; James Kalb; William Yandell; John Mason; and Cornelius Ruiter.
