This is a slide featuring Beverly Jean Tenegal, a contestant in the '"Miss Oak Lawn" pageant. She was sponsored in the contest by George's Lounge and Liquors. In this picture, Miss Tenegal is wearing a sash that identifies her as Miss Mode O' Day and she is posing with an unidentified woman and man in the Mode 'O Day store which was located at 5233 W. 95th Street. Several of the contestants had dual sponsors. The Mode O' Day store also sponsored Tanya Wolff. The "Miss Oak Lawn" pageant was sponsored by and held at the Johnson-Phelps VFW Post #5220 and Auxiliary located at 9514 S. 52nd Avenue. |
