The 1982 Oak Lawn Centennial celebrated the 100th anniversary of when Oak Lawn was first subdivided. This photograph features the Oak Lawn Kiwanis Club float being pulled by a car, moving westbound on 95th Street just east of 54th Avenue during the Centennial Parade. Several people are riding the float including a young girl, a woman dressed in period costume, and two men, one astride a horse statue. Freshline Foods store, located at 5355 West 95th Street, is in the background. Spectators can be seen watching the parade in the store's parking lot. |
