Description |
This is a photograph of the construction site of the 51st Avenue Station development, a mixed commercial and residential building, located at 9440 South 51st Avenue. This development was built on the former site of Fernwood Smith Cleaners at 5114 West 95th Street, the A & B Oak Lawn Currency Exchange located at 5112 W. 95th Street, and Millie's Ice Cream and Coffee Shoppe which was located in back of the currency exchange at 5108 West 95th Street. This photograph looks to the north across the construction site from 95th Street. The walls of the new building are growing steadily. Beyond the construction site, a private residence located at 9420 South 51st Avenue on the north border of the site can be seen. Other homes beyond it to the north are also partially in view. |
