Description |
This is a photograph of damages after the 1967 Oak Lawn tornado. The black & white image shows the devastated northwest corner of 95th Street and Southwest Highway where Shoot's Tavern and Fisher's motel had been located . Three men, backs to the camera, look at a mangled car that is turned over. Other automobiles can be seen in the background amid the debris. A line of damaged trees runs from the left to right side of the photo. Oak Lawn Community High School is in the far background. |
