This is a photograph of damages after the 1967 Oak Lawn tornado. The black & white image shows a chaotic scene near the intersection of 95th Street and Southwest Highway. Firefighters are using a ladder truck to spray water onto an active fire while other firemen are seen searching the rubble. A crushed automobile can be seen in the foreground on the right, silhouetted against the hazy sky. |
