This is slide featuring a view of I.N.R. Beatty Lumber Company located at 9537 South 52nd Avenue. This view shows the warehouse building parallel with the railroad tracks east of the main office. A railroad spur or siding track once used to divert freight train cars of lumber for unloading at the warehouse can be seen in the foreground. The west warehouse is partially visible in the background. Opened around 1928, the lumber company closed its Oak Lawn location in 2010. |
