Description |
This is a photograph of the Oak Lawn Veterans Memorial on the Village Green just prior to the formal dedication of both on September 14, 1996. The memorial is covered in blue tarp. The Village Green and Veterans Memorial were built on the site of the former Village Hall at 5252 West Dumke Drive. This photograph features a view looking from the northeast to the southwest. The north facade of Oak Lawn Public Library is barely visible behind the trees. The memorial sits on a large circular cement pad and three flag poles are installed behind. Yellow caution tape still surrounds the new landscaping. In the background, the Oak Lawn Municipal Center is visible. |
