Description |
This is a photograph of the Oak Lawn Pet Parade in 1978. The parade was sponsored by the Oak Lawn Chamber of Commerce. It began at 95th Street and Mansfield Avenue and traveled east to 52nd Avenue. This photograph features a view of a float sponsored by the Village that has just made the turn off eastbound 95th Street on southbound 52nd Avenue. Several children and a dog are riding on the float. The children are variously dressed as cowboys and Indians. The float features flags, a wagon wheel, a fort, a teepee, and a campfire. Spectators can be seen on the southeast corner of the intersection watching the parade. |
