The 1982 Oak Lawn Centennial celebrated the 100th anniversary of when Oak Lawn was first subdivided. Behind the Kiwanis float, a pair of draft horses pulling a wagon with people from the Oak Lawn Senior Council can be seen. Larsen's Hall, formerly located at 5305 W. 95th Street (black roof), and the Harker House, an historical landmark that was built in 1870 and located at 5317 West 95th Street (white roof), are partially visible behind the floats. Spectators line both sides of 95th Street to watch the parade. Pat Harvey Women's Apparel, located at 5351 West 95th Street, is in the background and Freshline Foods, located at 5355 West 95th Street, is partially visible in the very right of the photograph. |
