Description |
This is a photograph looking northwest from near 101st Street and Menard Avenue at a swampy area, now part of Memorial Park (formerly Southwest Park). This area is referred to in a report written by former Oak Lawn resident Robert Lah. It discusses his personal recollections of the grassland ecosystem that once existed throughout the Oak Lawn area, focusing on the 1950s and 1960s. Robert lived at 5752 101st Street before leaving in 1971. |
