This is a photograph of damages after the 1967 Oak Lawn tornado.The black & white image shows the neighborhood near the intersection of 95th Street and Southwest Highway. Construction vehicles and men are working to clear the rubble from Fairway Food and the Oak Lawn water tower, at 98th Street and Massasoit Avenue, can be seen beyond that. A Burbank Manor Fire Department ambulance can be seen on the right side of the photo, passing by the scene. |
