This is a photograph of damages after the 1967 Oak Lawn tornado. The black & white image shows a group of men and women looking at a destroyed car under the pedestrian overpass on Southwest Highway just north of 95th Street. The automobile is almost unrecognizable, having been mangled so badly by the storm. The railings and fencing are missing from the bridge. |
