Description |
This is a photograph of damages after the 1967 Oak Lawn tornado. The black & white image shows two homes on South Menard Avenue. The Frank Tourangeau home at 9417 S. Menard is in the background while the home at 9413 S. Menard is mostly destroyed. A Suburban Transit Company bus lies crumpled against the foundation. A bus engine can be seen on the left side of the photo, also lying against the foundation. The sign for Jewel Foods on 95th Street can be seen in the background on the right. |
