Description |
This is a photograph featuring construction of the Harris Bank Commercial District on the southeast corner of 95th Street and 52nd Avenue. This view is looking to the north from the south side of 95th Street at Tulley Avenue. The site is covered with snow and several pieces of construction equipment sit idle. Piles of building materials dot the site and a dumpster is in the right of the photograph. Traffic can be seen on 95th Street businesses along the north side of 95th Street. Visible businesses include Fernwood Smith Cleaners at 5114 W. 95th Street and the A & B Oak Lawn Currency Exchange located at 5112 West 95th Street. Millie's Ice Cream and Coffee Shoppe, not visible in the photograph, was located at 5108 West 95th Street in the same building with the currency exchange. Further east, located at 5102 West 95th Street, is Cleo Women's Boutique and the offices of John F. Grady, DPM, a podiatrist, located at 5100 West 95th Street. The steeple of the Pilgrim Faith United Church of Christ, located at 9411 South 51st Avenue, can be see above the rooftops.
